Beginner's German classes
These low level German classes are addressed to foreign residents with little to no German language skills. One course includes 20 units and is usually recommended before taking part in our integration course. The IfB offers these classes in the administrative districts of Neu-Ulm as well as Erbach. The attendance fee amounts to 1 Euro per teaching unit. If you participate regularly, 50 % of the expenses are refundable. A reimbursement of costs is possible if you can provide the required documentation.

B 2 - German classes (general or job-related)
Our B 2 German classes are addressed to fellow citizens having advanced skills of the German language.
Based on current topics, you will increase your vocabulary and thus consolidate your linguistic proficiency. If you want to participate in one of our B 2 courses you need to be capable of dealing with complex texts. The course participants are welcome to present their own discussion topics.
The majority of companies expect participation in B2 courses for a successful employment. These classes can be attended extra-occupationally and terminate with an officially recognized exam taking place in our classrooms. The B2 certificate is internationally accepted.

C1/ C2 - German classes (general or job-related)
If you have already acquired the B2-level and you either would like to proceed or intend to go to university, C-level German skills are obligatory.
The C-level includes the following aspects:
- Being able to understand a wide range of challenging texts as well as figuring out implicit meanings;
- Being able to express yourself spontaneously and fluently and not being obliged to permanently search for the correct words;
- Being capable of using the language efficiently and flexibly either in your social and professional life or during your apprenticeship or academic studies;
- Commenting on complex topics clearly, with structure, and with detail by appropriately using diverse methods of text linkage;
In summary:
Being able to communicate like a native speaker.
